    I wish to know if one needs a license to operate a catering business from home? I am in Delhi trying to start a similar business. Please advice.

    Hello Moksh and Nitin,

    Sorry for posting late .. As far as my knowledge and experience goes you don't need any license if at all you are operating from your Home.

    Nitin Gradation or Certification of Food applies to business entities who are operating small eat away parlors or restaurants.

    A small piece of advise start small and let the power of word of mouth publicity get you the required clientele. I had just started with Rs 300/- plus, and today I have a decent turnover to be proud of. Best Wishes
